Systems Analyst 3

PURPOSE: To work with clients, stakeholders, analysts, and subject matter experts to define technology solutions. Define applications to support client business processes, develop requirements specifications, oversee component development, and conduct quality assurance. Resolve issues with deployed systems. Work in a team environment to develop enterprise-level software systems.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Understand clients' operations and systems requirements and translate into technical specifications.

 

  • Work with development teams managing technology implementations across multiple projects and requiring coordination between server administrators, programmers and other managers.

 

  • Utilize expert knowledge in database structures, design tools, programming techniques, and software engineering methodologies to define appropriate solutions and best practices in systems development.

 

  • Define potential solutions and test them for both technical applicability and system compatibility (i.e., Proof of Concept).

 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration.

 

  • Other duties as assigned, such as serve in other capacities, process improvement initiatives, and other miscellaneous works assignments.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology field and a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience. Prior Information Technology or related experience required. Must possess knowledge of the software development lifecycle and development methodologies, skill with relational database technologies, and knowledge of computer programming and Microsoft development tools. Experience with web-based technology solutions and supporting development tools and requirements development required. Must possess experience with MS Office, CSS, .NET (VB / ASP), SQL, SQL Server, information reporting, data design, and project management. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Must have demonstrated experience translating client needs into plans, requirements, and designs for information technology solutions.
