PURPOSE: Provide subject-matter expertise in the facilitation of biometrics and forensic intelligence related issues, requests for information, tasking, briefings or other related requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide liaison with intelligence community and federal law enforcement agencies as required to effect a joint approach to biometrics issues and targeting priorities.
Assist in collecting, processing and providing reporting of forensic evidence; to include evidence chain of custody, handling and transporting procedures.
Adhere to all evidence chain of custody procedures necessary to build legally viable cases for prosecution and targeting.
Assist in the use of forensics in host Nation court case prosecutions.
Three years prior experience as an Intelligence Analyst for the DoD (civilian or military) or a civilian agency. Associates or Bachelor degree or equivalent military experience preferred. Full proficiency in utilizing computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts, production of intelligence products/responses and the analysis of intelligence information to assess trends and threat implications. The above experience should demonstrate the ability to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and to write technical publications and reports. Experience working with Joint Expeditionary Forensics Facilities (JEFF), Combined Explosive Exploitation Cell (CEXC) or other DoD expeditionary forensics labs (EFLs) preferred. Must be able to pass a background investigation and to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Must be able to deploy to forensic facilities located outside of the United States for up to 42 weeks per year.
