Case File Manager
PURPOSE: Perform a wide variety of moderately difficult clerical tasks in support of office and administrative operations. Receive, process, safeguard, and dispose of physical evidence delivered to labs. Within evidence management handling, the case file managers are responsible for ensuring all documents and information needed for case files are received and a case file is assigned. Ensure all metrics from each case are maintained in accordance with the document procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure that all documents and information needed for the case file are received, a case file is assigned, all required disciplines have submitted analysis/reports/findings in the appropriate timeframe, and the case is entered into the appropriate system.
Ensure all metrics from each case are maintained in accordance with the documented procedures.
High school diploma and two years experience performing clerical and administrative duties related to collating, duplicating, distributing, filing, and managing electronic and hard copy documentation. Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally. Fully functional in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Ability to utilize web based applications, entering and extracting data for the purpose of tracking and reporting on case files. Experience working with Joint Expeditionary Forensics Facilities (JEFF), Combined Explosive Exploitation Cell (CEXC) or other DoD expeditionary forensics labs (EFLs) preferred. Must be able to pass a background investigation and to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Must be able to deploy to forensic facilities located outside of the United States for up to 42 weeks per year.
